Opening the Doors of Opportunity

West Buckland School is one of the leading independent schools in the South West and today exists due to the generosity and foresight of supporters past and present. Like many other schools West Buckland has no significant endowment to fund bursaries or major capital projects. Despite the School’s finances being excellent, fee income alone cannot allow the school to develop at the pace it would like.

In order to address this situation The West Buckland School Foundation was incorporated in 2003. The purpose of the Foundation is two-fold: To raise money for bursaries which will enable more talented or disadvantaged young people to benefit from a West Buckland education that their parents could otherwise not afford and to raise funds to help finance the school’s capital development plans and so enhance academic, cultural and sporting facilities. As we do so, we also wish to share the school’s facilities and successes with the local community of North Devon.

Your support and generosity will allow us to move forward and help keep West Buckland School at the forefront of education in the South-West

The Foundation is a separate charity run on a day to day basis by two members of staff.
