The distinguished watercolourist, Jane Carpanini, came to West Buckland and painted these two evocative views of the school. The more formal view of the front of the school from East Drive also includes the War Memorial. The second view captures the school in its unique setting on the edge of Exmoor.

Jane Carpanini, R.W.S., R.W.A., was first elected to the Royal Watercolour Society in 1978. She was trained at Brighton College of Art and the University of Reading. Her work is in the collections of the National Library and National Museums of Wales. She is also a member of the Royal West of England Academy.
