Children at West Buckland are taught the skills that they will need for life in a friendly and caring atmosphere. As you would expect, the teachers are all committed to developing the full potential of every child through their professionalism and dedication. We aim to create a stimulating and caring environment where each pupil can develop their individual strengths, self-esteem, confidence and abilities.

West Buckland Preparatory School has traditional values at its very core, but at the same time it is progressive. The School has embraced the latest technology in partnership with the Senior School. The fully equipped IT suite, projectors and whiteboards are in constant use. We aim to develop thoughtful and responsible members of society who are equipped to live in the modern world, interested in other people and the environment.

Art, music and sport are also valued as an integral part of life for West Buckland with a full range of lunchtime and after school activities. The pupils are encouraged to develop a wide range of interests; there are excellent facilities on site and the expertise is available to find the right activities for each child. We aim to challenge and teach the pupils to value and improve their academic, sporting and musical skills.

My wife and I have been at West Buckland for the last nine years and we are extremely happy here. Three of our four children are at the school and enjoying all the opportunities open to them. I look forward to meeting you in the near future.
